The 145th running of the Irish Derby was held on Sunday 27 June 2010 over 1 mile 4 furlongs of The Curragh. Subscriptions were €21,500 with a first prize of €725,000. The winner was owned by Mrs Susan Magnier, Mr Derrick Smith and Mr Michael Tabor, bred by Jack Ronan and Des Vere Hunt Farm Co., trained by Aidan O'Brien at Ballydoyle, and ridden by Johnny Murtagh. The winner won by 1/2 length in 2 minutes 28.68 seconds, with 1 1/2 lengths between second and third.
